Dave Buck joined Harcourts Island Properties a year ago, and has hit the ground running ever since.
Aside from being featured over half a dozen times on HGTV, Buck’s success can be seen through his impressive accolades. Just this past year, he was recognized as a “Top 100 Realtor in Hawaii” by Hawaii Business Magazine, acknowledged twice on “Harcourts Top 20 Agents of the Quarter” list, and has done business with a few celebrity clients who wish to remain nameless.
“Dave Buck is an incredible agent, but more importantly he brings generosity and genuine passion to everything he does,” states Harcourts Pacific Regional Director, Rob Forde.
It’s no surprise he has seen success in real estate, considering his resume through his professional career. Entering the real estate market happened later for Buck, after working for a few environmental businesses and fighting fires for the Honolulu Fire Department. With his father being involved in commercial real estate, the industry was a family affair, and a natural career to get involved in. After juggling firefighting with his real estate career for seven years, he decided to become a full-time agent in 2007.
Joining the Harcourts team came recently, and was seemingly an easy decision.
“Knowing Serge [current business partner at Harcourts Island Properties] on a personal and business level beforehand, I knew Harcourts had people that were trustworthy and authentic. I’ve learned over the years what matters most to me, and that's working in a healthy environment with good people, and Harcourts has that.”
Buck mentioned another strong reason for joining Harcourts, was the international exposure they carry. Harcourts is an Australasia-based company and is located in ten different countries worldwide. With land limitations that come with an Island, having global exposure is a huge benefit that comes with the Harcourts brand.
To touch on one of his top listings, Buck has represented a JP Morgan Chase Bank-owned historic property, that sits on 47 acres in Honolulu. The property is a classic, Hawaiian style residence, that is listed on state and national registers of historic places. It is listings like these that accredit his “Top Agent” titles.
Buck also finished last year having nearly $17 million in closed volume, and the numbers speak for themselves.
“I believe a lot of Dave’s success stems from his values based mindset, and with Harcourts being a values-based company, his career can only grow stronger,” Forde voices.
Looking forward to continuing to work with good people, Buck sees a bright future for himself and Harcourts in Hawaii. He stresses the importance of a long-term relationships. He plans to continue establishing and growing existing relationships and is excited to work with new clients.
Buck discusses his loyalty to his clients and mentions, “I’ll always say this to everyone in the business. I was born and raised on these Islands, and I’m not going anywhere.”
With Hawaii Island Properties holding their new office location official Grand Opening in Honolulu, Buck remains excited for continued growth of Harcourts throughout the Islands.
